Rupert Hill

We would like to pay tribute to Rupert Hill, President of West Dartmoor WGC, who passed away earlier this year at the age of 91.  Rupert gave many years to the Club, serving on the Committee before becoming President.  He was a member of the England Team for many years and he also judged both spaniels and retrievers at the Championships.  Rupert competed with his dogs and we have since learnt that his love of dogs was life-long; not just his shooting dogs but also his working dogs in the Prison service. His dogs were both his passion and his skill - making many up to FTCh.  It was a life well-lived, and we thank him for his loyal service to the Club, he will be missed.
