2024/2025 Field Trial Results

Pointer & Setter Trials

West Dartmoor Working Gundog Club held their Novice and Open Pointer and Setter FTs on Saturday 20th July and Sunday 21^st July 2024 at Swinton Estate by kind permission of Steve Colmar. We are extremely grateful for Steve’s very generous hospitality and support. Our judges on the days, Jon Kean and Gwenda Dale, did a marvellous job securing the following results:

Novice:

1st Wiscombe Golden Miller owned by MS Sara Chichester handled by Morwenna McNally

2nd Redbryony Blue Tigerlily owned and handled by Rosella Di Palma

Com Lockama Book of Days owned by Gordon and Kay Ross handled by Gordon

Guns choice went to Tigerlily

Open:

1^st  Sparkfield Sidekick owned and handled by Mr T Harris

2^nd Coldcoat Regge owned and handled by Mr N Crozier

3^rd FtCH Dunroon Ginger Storm of Wiscombe owned and handled by Ms S Chichester

4^th Hannebergh Barbara owned and handled by Mr B Long

Many congratulations to Mr Harris who made his dog up to FtCH

I would like to personally thank the judges and competitors for their help and advice and for making Val, our new Chair and myself, Zena (new FT Secrtary) feel very welcome.  On behalf of the committee I would like to thank Anthony, who has stepped down as FT secretary, for all his hard work in organising and running the trails. I’m sure we will all miss him.
